Ministry Statement of Purpose
Life Redeemed Ministry exists to offer hope in Jesus Christ to individuals hurt by abortion, and to train and equip care professionals and ministry leaders to assist with the healing process.
“As founder of Life Redeemed Ministry, I offer my testimony for groups of any size. It is my prayer that all may experience the love He so freely offers. I share a message of the forgiveness and mercy of Jesus Christ. I know because I experienced the joy of being restored 23 years after my abortion. The ministry is my response to God's grace. He desires that all should be saved. There is no sin so great that it cannot be forgiven by the blood He shed on the Cross. After abortion you may experience guilt, shame, isolation, and problems in your intimate relationships or parenting your children. There is help from others who have walked the path you are on. Jesus loves you. I pray you will take the first step that will lead to the fullness of God's grace, love and forgiveness in your life.” — Kim Ketola
The Life Redeemed Workshop
The Life Redeemed Workshop has been presented in conferences and churches, Bible study in jails and prisons as well as in recovery center settings.
Workshop Outline
Research indicates that one-third of American adults have had an abortion, and two-thirds of us know someone who has. Kim Ketola will share her testimony of hope in Christ after abortion, and the workshop will offer useful tools for this hidden mission field within our midst, to better understand and minister to believers who suffer after abortion. The workshop is appropriate for caregivers and counselors to those who suffer after abortion as well as the individuals needing help; this format creates a safe environment for those who might be reluctant to self-identify as having had an abortion by their attendance or choice of this workshop. Key points include:
- family dynamics
- guilt and shame
- anger resolution
- pregnancy loss--the complicated mourning which follows after abortion
- stories from a broad range of women who have been healed in Christ
- Scripture assurance concerning the eternal fate of unborn children
- loving them both; sharing the pro-life message with compassion
- breaking down the barriers for those who need help
This session will offer useful tools whether you have been touched by abortion in your family or you simply wish to better understand and minister to believers who suffer after abortion.
What People Are Saying
"Recently Kim came to Minnesota Teen Challenge
to address our residents. Her story was very moving. God used Kim
to bring healing to dozens of our women who had never faced the
emotional scars associated with their choice to end the life of
their unborn child. We have chapel services daily here at Teen
Challenge, but Kim's message that morning was one of the highlights
of the year."
- Pastor Rich Scherber, Executive Director, Minnesota Teen Challenge
"Kim inspired us with her message of life
in Him and life for the unborn. We were reminded that God has a
specific plan and purpose for each life, and this strengthens our
resolve to continue to reach out to every woman who "feels
like she has no other choice". Kim's message of God's incredilbe
faithfulness in providing His love, strength, and support to her
was one we won't forget. She inspired and challenged us to be bold
witnesses for the Lord and for Life."
- Mary Jane Carlson, Executive Director, New Life Family Services
"Earlier this year Kim shared her powerful
testimony with the women of our Naomi Family Residence. For many
of them this was the first time they ever talked about the pain
surrounding a past abortion. What a blessing we received as Kim's
sensitivity and understanding let the light of God's forgiveness
and grace shine!"
- Ken Cooper, Executive Director and Gail Gisi, Director of Education,
